Scope and Contents
225 x 183 mm. Showing the entrance to the Nassau Sponge Exchange Company Limited building, with islanders in the foreground and piles of sponges visible in the open shed which lies on the waterfront just off Bay Street. The Sponge Exchange was the centre for selling all the sponges gathered in the Bahamas Islands.
