83 x 133 mm. Showing Lieutenant General Sir Walter Kitchener (holding cigar) and his ADC Captain O. H. L. Nicholson, DSO, standing on the steps of Government House, Bermuda. Lieutenant General Sir Frederick Walter Kitchener (1858 - 1912) was Governor and C ommander in Chief Bermuda from 1908 - 1909. Previous to this he had served a varied army career taking part in the Afghan War of 1878 - 1880, the Dongola Expedition of 1896, the Khartoum Campaign of 1898 (I/c Kordofan Field Force) and the South African War in 1899 - 1900.
