The Pier at Admirality House Garden, Bermuda, 1908 - 1909
Scope and Contents
117 x 94 mm. Showing the pier, with a pole extending from it over the water. This pole is to form part of the games announced in a handwritten caption on the previous page of the album.
'Freddy and I send out invitations in the name of 'two middle-aged and highly respectable bachelors' to all our friends and give a pageant in the Admirality House grounds at Bermuda. Saturday, December 12th 1908.'
Also inserted in the album at this pont is a programme of events for the pageant, starting with a Cadets competition (refer to Y3070A/37 and Y3070A/38) at 2.30, a hockey match at 3.00 p.m. between HMS 'Cornwall' and the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry (with both sides dressed in women's clothes, refer to Y3070A/39 - Y3070A/49) and tea at 3.45 p.m.
