279 x 218 mm. View of the Hankow waterfront, with sampans in the foreground and steamers moored at the wharves and piers beyond. Hankow is situated some 600 miles from Shanghai at the confluence of the Hankow and Yangtsze Rivers and was opened to foreign trade in 1861.
