Burmese Women, 1890 - 1899

 Item
Reference Code: GBR/0115/RCS/Y3029D/2

Scope and Contents

141 x 95 mm. Showing three Burmese girls seated on the ground on cushions in the photographer's studio. The annotation on the reverse states 'Photo by J. Jackson, Rangoon'. However, the photographer is far more likely to be Felice Beato who photographed the same woman shown on the left of this image elsewhere and also used the same backdrop in his studio as is used in this image.
