Scope and Contents
282 x 205 mm. View from the roof of the High Court on Esplanade Row West looking eastwards across the city. At the far end of the Esplanade, where it meets Chowringhee Road and Dhurrumtollah Road, is the Dhurrumtollah Tank, filled in at the turn of the century to become the Curzon Gardens. In the foreground, in front of the Town Hall is the statue by Richard Westmacott of Lord William Bentinck, Governor-General of India 1828-35. No. 2599.
