An assortment of photographic material connected to the television programme, A Prokofiev Fantasy with Peter and the Wolf, which was a theatrical version of Sergei Prokofiev's symphonic tale, produced by Spitting Swanns Limited, and aired by the BBC in December 1993.

The following are present, and their accompanying number corresponds to their file or item reference number within this sub-series:

1. A folder with photographs, contact prints and transparencies relating to conductor Claudio Abbado, and his visit to the Spitting Image Workshop to view his puppet for the production. There are also transparencies with portrait images of his puppet (SI/353).

2. A folder with two plastic sleeves holding 63mm colour transparencies with portrait images of actor Robert Benigni's puppet (SI/354 and 355).

3. A folder with one plastic sleeve holding 12 63mm colour transparencies, which have portrait images of the cat, bird and duck puppets for the production (SI/350-352).

4. A folder holding 35mm transparencies and sheets of contact prints featuring images of puppets for various composers and other individuals associated with classical music. These images were taken during the production, and members of the crew are present in some of them.

5. A folder holding 35mm transparencies and sheets of contact prints featuring images of the circus sequence in the programme. These images were taken during the production.

6. A folder holding 35mm transparencies and sheets of contact prints featuring images of the cottage scene and the actors involved in that section of the programme. These images were taken during the production, and members of the crew are present in some of them.

7. A folder holding 35mm transparencies and sheets of contact prints. These items are marked as 'Hebrew.' These images were taken during the production, and members of the crew are present in some of them.

8. A folder with photographs, negatives and contact prints that feature images of actor Roy Hudd with his puppet. These images appear to have been taken for publicity purposes.

9. A folder with 35mm transparencies and sheets of contact prints that feature images of three performers wearing masks in the likeness of the comedy troupe, The Marx Brothers. These images were taken during the production.

10. A folder with 35mm transparencies and sheets of contact prints that feature images of performers and crew. These items are marked as having been taken by the photographer, Irving Penn.

11. A folder with a plastic sleeve of 63mm colour transparencies, which feature portrait images of the puppet for the musician, Sting, who narrated this production (SI/356).

12. A folder with four plastic sleeves holding 63mm colour transparencies, which feature images of Henry Feagins, as the Peter character, and a puppet of the wolf (SI/348). These images were taken for use on the cover sleeve of the commercial laser disc for this programme, which went on sale to the public following its broadcast.

13. A folder with seven plastic sleeves holding 63mm colour transparencies, which feature images of Henry Feagins, as the Peter character, and a puppet of the wolf (SI/349a-b). These images were taken for use on the case cover for the commercial VHS tape for this programme, which went on sale to the public following its broadcast.

14. An envelope holding 33 smaller envelopes, all of which hold one or several transparencies. These transparencies originally came from the other transparency sleeves in this sub-series, but they have been separated due to previously being used for digital scans.

15. A folder with 13 black and white photographs featuring a french horn musician, wearing a wolf's head prop (SI/363). Also present is a black and white negative. These images appear to have been taken by Irving Penn; also see file 10.

16. A folder holding 20 black and white photographs, each accompanied by a negative, featuring images of scenes taken during the production of the programme. These images are found amongst the other files in this sub-series.

17. A folder holding 12 examples of a black and white photograph, featuring the character of Peter with the wolf puppet, and three performers wearing masks in the likeness of The Marx Brothers (SI/371). There is also a negative present for this image.

18. A folder with an assortment of 35mm slides, colour photographs, and negatives.

19. Two folders holding 11 plastic sleeves with 35mm slides, and a plastic sleeve with black and white contact prints and unmounted 35mm transparencies. These items feature images connected to 'the making of Peter and the Wolf.'
