R.S. Hispaniola Christmas Party Invitations, 1987
Scope and Contents
Two examples of an invitation card to a Spitting Image Productions Limited Christmas party on the R.S. Hispaniola, a permanently banked restaurant ship on the Victoria Embankment, London. The party took place on Sunday 20 December. The card has caricatures depicting Roger Law and Peter Fluck as pirates, while producer John Lloyd's head pops out of a cannon. One of the invites is addressed to Law's children, Shem and Sophie, and the other is addressed to workshop staff member, Pablo Bach (SI/594).
On the back of one of the invitation cards, there are notes in Roger Law's hand, in green ink. One of the notes reminds Law to phone author and illustrator Raymond Briggs.
