American Institute of Graphic Arts Award Certificate, 1977
Scope and Contents
A 'Certificate of Excellence' awarded to Roger Law [and Peter Fluck] for 'The Mental Picture III Portraits,' which featured on the covers of three editions of The New York Times Magazine, between December 1975 and February 1976. Each cover had a plasticine model illustration of one of the 1976 American presidential candidates: Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and George Wallace.
Accompanying the certificate is a handwritten note from the magazine's art director, Ruth Ansel, along with examples of the illustrations that were awarded.
