Margaret Thatcher Mug, c 1987
Scope and Contents
A ceramic mug modelled in the likeness British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, by Luck & Flaw. This mug design was first produced in 1983, as memorabilia for the British General Election, alongside another mug that resembled Labour Party leader Michael Foot. However, this particular mug appears to be a later reproduction, perhaps manufactured by Carlton Ware, c 1987. This mug is lighter in wieght than the original, and the glossy finish has a green tint to it. This version of the mug also does not bear the Luck & Flaw stamp on the underside of its base.
