The Rogi Cliff, 1863
Scope and Contents
184 x 322 mm. Showing the same section of the cliff path as Y3022/17, but taken with Bourne's panoramic lens (see introduction) and presenting a narrow field of view. It is possible that this print does come from the earlier journey and that it was allocated a later negative number to keep it in sequence with the other Rogi photographs: a careful examination of the pathway reveals a more rudimentary structure than in the preceding print, and presumably the two almost identical views were included in order to give a comparison between the new and old roads, the repairs presumably having been made between 1863 and 1866. Bourne no. 1503.
