Peterhouse Talk on Charles Leslie Stevenson, 1932 - 2019

 File
Reference Code: GBR/0012/MS Add.9451/20/3

Scope and Contents

A file holding material relating to a talk given by Anne Stevenson to the Peterhouse Theory Group, about her father and philosopher Charles Leslie Stevenson, on 21 October 2019. The talk was titled 'Emotive Philosophy and Analysis in Poetry: Growing up with C.L. Stevenson.' While there are word-processed drafts of Stevenson's script and copies of her poems that were interspersed throughout the talk, the majority of the file's contents appear to be a mix of research material and items that were put on display that evening. The following are present, but not limited to: offprints of articles written by C.L. Stevenson that were published in The Philosophical Review, a programme for a concert held by the Jesus College Musical Society at Cambridge, on 4 June 1932, which included a piano recital by C.L. Stevenson; photocopies of journal entries and letters, and a funeral order of service, press-cuttings and other items connected to his death in 1979.
