Scope and Contents

Typescript and word-processed drafts of reviews by Anne Stevenson on the works of other poets and authors, which were published in or submitted to various outlets. Some drafts feature annotations and corrections in pencil or ink, and they are occasionally accompanied by other material.

This sub-series is composed of 82 items/files, held in four boxes. The reviews are listed below in order of either the title of the reviewed publication, the title of the first publication when multiple works are reviewed in an article by Stevenson, or by the title of the article. Information on the poet(s), author(s), editor(s) and other details connected to publications being reviewed in an article are found in parentheses. The number next to a review corresponds to their item/file reference within this sub-series.

This material was originally held in various boxes, and has subsequently been merged together into these four boxes. They have been listed in alphabetical order, based upon the title of the article given by Stevenson or the title of the book/first book reviewed (if there is no article title); definite and indefinite articles at the beginning of titles, etc have been disregarded. An exception to this arrangement is a file with partial/unidentified reviews, which has been placed at the end of this sub-series.
