A view from one of the archways at Fort Charlotte of a canon. The typescript caption attached to the reverse of the print reads: 'The bright red coats of the english gun crews that once served the cannon of Nassau's Fort Charlotte are only dim ghosts now, but the old fort that has never seen a shot fired in anger is still a favourite with visitors who explore every nook and cranny of the citadel both above and below ground. -30-.' The caption also reads: 'From: Bahamas News Bureau,' and 'Direction of (to): Robinson-Hannagan Associates,' and gives full address details for both. The print itself is stamped on the reverse with 'Bahamas News Bureau Photo,' and the number '4193.'
