St Kitts The Soufrière, 1880 - 1889
Scope and Contents
172 x 105 mm. A view showing a group of islanders standing on a hillside, with steam rising from the earth in the foreground. Many volcanoes and sulphur-sprints in the West Indies are named La Soufrière, but no mention has been found of one in St Kitts. The picture was possibly taken in St Lucia and captioned in error.
