Barbados West Indian Band, 1880 - 1889
Scope and Contents
215 x 133 mm. A posed shot of a 33-piece band together with their instruments. All are wearing military uniform and one man, in what resembles an officer’s uniform, is seated on a chair (others either standing or seated on the ground). He appears to be holding a stick possibly a conductor’s baton. The uniform appears identical to that worn by some of the troops pictured in Y307A/7.
