Mr Gallott's bungalow, 1867
Scope and Contents
212 x 153 mm. View looking along the line towards the bungalow of Mr Gallott at Kadigomowa, 55 miles from Colombo. The single storey thatched bungalow is situated beside the track and separated from it by a small banana plantation. A gang of labourers stands on the line in the middle ground. The figures standing in front of the bungalow are presumably Mr Gallott and his wife. No information on Gallott, apart from the fact that he was 'Government Engineer … connected with the work from the beginning', has been traced.
