Luck & Flaw Record Forms, c 2010s
Scope and Contents
A box holding a bundle of catalogue record forms, which document artwork, photographic images, publications and other material primarily found within what is now the Luck & Flaw sub-fonds of the Roger Law Archive. Images of photographic illustrations and other artwork from this period also occasionally appear within the Spitting Image Productions Limited and the Roger Law (Post-Spitting Image Years) sub-fonds of the archive.
These record forms contain the following: the original reference number for an item, which has the prefix 'L+F/;' the title of a piece of artwork or photographic illustration; a short description; the name of the artist; the date of creation; the name of the photographer, when relevant; copyright information; the publications and exhibitions an item/image has been displayed in; details on the various mediums that an artwork or photographic illustration appears within the original archive (e.g. the number transparencies, issues of magazines and/or tearsheets, and posters); condition of medium(s); and an image or several images of the item in question.
Also found amongst these forms are copies of interpretative captions used when an item/image has been displayed in an exhibition. Such captions mostly relate to two exhibitions: Spitting Image - From Start to Finish, held at The Cartoon Museum in 2014; and Roger Law - From Satire to Ceramics, held at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts between 2017 and 2018. Also present are computer printouts of emails and website pages, which contain information and/or images that concern Luck & Flaw's work.
