Scope and Contents
In the 1930s the borough and the University of Cambridge each sent a member to parliament. The Needhams were members of the University Labour Party. Joseph Needham served on the Executive Committee of the Party in the early 1930s and Dorothy Needham was a member of the Executive of the Cambridge Trades Council and Labour Party and stood for the Town Council on two occasions.
