Scope and Contents

276 x 217 mm. Showing a copse of woolly tree ferns (Alsophila crinita) at Hakgala. Hakgala Peak is situated in the Piduru Range five miles south east of Nuwera Eliya. The botanical gardens, on the south eastern slopes, were founded in 1860 as a nursery for cinchona.
