Scope and Contents
Le Fleming often wrote to his wife Rosalind during periods of separation, and their son Stephen has edited and transcribed these letters, which have been illustrated with reproductions of sketches and photographs. The original letters remain with the family (134 pages).
Subjects include Le Fleming’s travel for work and leisure; descriptions of his duties and colleagues at the FMSR; friends and social life; painting and design; the Malay and Chinese people; and Malaya’s landscape, butterflies, botany and wildlife.
