Scope and Contents
The first extract records Chief Justice R.J. Corner's decisions in a property dispute between Felipe de la Vega and Pedro Carillo in Jan. and Mar. 1870. The second records Corner's decision in a property dispute between William Guild and Stewart Carter on 27 June 1870. The third extract documents Corner's decision on 25 Jan. 1875 in an action brought by Aurelia Gill for damages from the Lieutenant Governor for the loss of her husband. The fourth extract concerns Chief Justice William A. Parker's decision of 7 Sept. 1877 in an action brought by the government against James Hartley over the right to cut mahogany.
