Document of the Mosquito Nation, 1840-02-19
Scope and Contents
A printed parchment form, 11½'' x 11½'', completed in manuscript, appointing Leonard P. Cox as Receiver General to the King of the Mosquito Nation in Central America. The document has been signed by King R.C. Frederic and the three Commissioners of the Mosquito Nation, and has an embossed seal. The parchment is accompanied by the article 'A document of the Mosquito Kingdom' in 'Royal Commonwealth Society library notes', no. 57, September 1961, pp. 1-2, which transcribes the document and outlines the history of the Mosquito Kingdom.
