A file containing invitations to two events, both of which took place in 1985, received by Roger Law. The first is for a 10-year anniversary event for the defunct British women's magazine, Nova, which ceased in 1975. Law is invited to attend a party on Wednesday 31 July, at The Groucho Club in London. The front side of the invite has a drawing by the cartoonist, Melville Calman.

The second invitation is for an event hosted by publisher, André Deutsch, and the British satirical magazine, Private Eye, which celebrates the publication of The Diaries of Auberon Waugh: A Turbulent Decade 1976-1985. Law is invited to attend the party on Tuesday 10 September, at the offices of Private Eye. The front side of the invitation has an image of a Luck & Flaw plasticine model illustration of Auberon Waugh, which was previously used as part of a series of Private Eye posters on sale to the public, in 1981.
