Scope and Contents

A file holding five sub-folders, which contain a variety of invitations and posters for Spitting Image Productions Limited staff parties and outings. The following are present:

1. Two examples of an invitation leaflet to a Christmas champagne brunch, which took place at some point in the mid-1980s when the company was still based at Limehouse Studios. The invite has caricatures of Roger Law and Peter Fluck on the front (SI/593).

2. Two examples of an invitation card to a Christmas party [1987] on the R.S. Hispaniola, a permanently banked restaurant ship on the Victoria Embankment, London. The card has caricatures depicting Law and Fluck as pirates, while John Lloyd's head pops out of a cannon. One of the invites is addressed to Law's children, Shem and Sophie, and the other is addressed to staff member, Pablo Bach (SI/594).

3. Photocopies/computer printouts of three posters, drawn by David Stoten, relating to the following: a Spitting Image series 12 pre-production party; a Christmas outing to see a pantomime; and an outing to see dog racing. All posters have caricatures of Law. The series 12 pre-production party poster is accompanied by a call sheet and information document for the production's crew. These items are dated c 1990-c 1991.

4. A flyer for a 'White Trash Thrash' held at the Cairo Studios company premises, on 17 September 1994. Accompanying the flyer is a set of photographs, taken at the party (SI/592).

5. Two examples of an invitation leaflet from the Crapston Villas crew, inviting the recipient to attend a party to celebrate the completion of the programme's second series. This party was held on 17 October 1997, at The Red Bar, in Soho, London. The invitation has a photographic image of the series crew on the front (SI/498).
