Company Christmas Cards, 1986 - 1996
Scope and Contents
A file containing an assortment of Spitting Image Productions Limited and Cairo Studios company Christmas cards. The following are present: a 1986 SIPL 'Santa Claus on the Dole' card (SI/461); a 1989 SIPL 'Greetings from Albania' card, which features a drawing of Joseph Stalin and a drawing of Margaret Thatcher as Stalin (SI/590); two examples of a SIPL 'Get on down with the Majors this Christmas' cards, one of which is accompanied by an Ovaltine malt drink sachet, along with original artwork for the front of the card (SI/541); a 1993 SIPL/Spitting Swanns Limited Peter and the Wolf card (SI/349); examples of two Cairo Studios' Mr. Punch cards (SI/2-4, 8), which feature photographic illustrations produced for an issue of The New York Times Book Review in 1995; and a Cairo Studios card.
Some of the cards feature the handwritten signatures of Roger Law, Richard Bennett and Joanna Beresford.
