Biographical / Historical

The Revd Laurens Christopher Sargent (b. 1893) was Rector of Horndon West with Ingrave, 1939-1944, then Vicar of St Peter-in-Thanet to 1953. He was married to Ethel Sargent. Their elder son, John Michael Sargent, joined the R.A.F., and was killed on 8 December 1941.
