1. Malaya Patriotic Fund Address by Chairman, Sir Shenton Thomas, 12 Feb. 1941
This is accompanied by a note from Thomas outlining the leading role in the fund taken on by Lady Thomas.
2. Shenton Thomas, ‘Memorandum on post-war Malaya’ (two copies).
3. Cecil Clementi, ‘Plan for administrative reconstruction in Malaya and Borneo’
This is accompanied by a letter from Clementi.
4. Victor Purcell, ‘A Malayan Union: the proposed new constitution’ (2 copies).
5. Correspondence between Thomas and A.H. Dickinson regarding the Honours List, and a letter from Sir Arnold Robinson on the subject of post-war reconstruction. This file includes a statement by Major K.S. Morgan in support of his claim for compensation for ill treatment during his internment. Morgan headed the Japanese section of the Special Branch in Singapore before his capture.
