1. Correspondence relating to discussion of the Malayan Union proposal of 1946, including Sir Richard Winstedt, John Woods, G.G. Daubeney, Sir Cecil Clementi and L.D. Gammons. The file contains typescript copies of letters sent to 'The Times’ and the ‘Straits Times’ by Sir George Maxwell (circa 60 sheets)
2. Annotated typescript draft of ‘Some notes on the debate in the House of Lords on 29th January, 1946, on the second reading of the Straits Settlements (Repeal) Bill’ by Maxwell (11 sheets).
3. Two typescript copies of ‘Malay Union. Amalgamation or federation?’ by Maxwell (22 sheets).
