Biographical / Historical

Amyand Richard Haggard served as signals officer of the 86th Anti-Tank Regiment, Royal Artillery, during the Second World War. When it finished he joined the Civil Affairs Service and was posted to Malaya. He was prevented by deafness from permanently entering the Colonial Service in Oct. 1946.
