This is an account of Brundle's work on defence projects, his experiences during the fall of Singapore, and his escape which took him to India, where he served as an engineer in the Indian Army (38 pages).

Biographical / Historical
Kenneth Brundle was an Assistant Architect in the Malayan Public Works Service from 1938-41. Brundle returned to Malaya after the end of the Second World War, becoming Chief Architect of the Public Works Department, Singapore in 1952. He retired in 1957.
