Scope and Contents
This is an account of events in Singapore from 8 Dec. 1941 until its surrender, based upon notes originally recorded in Ross's diary. It was written in June 1942 aboard a Dutch cargo vessel travelling to New York (138 pages).

Biographical / Historical
E. A. Ross travelled to Singapore to help manage its shipyard during the war. He escaped Singapore by ship immediately before its surrender, reaching Batavia on 14 Feb. 1942.
