Biographical / Historical
Muriel M. Reilly's husband worked as a produce broker in Singapore. After the outbreak of war, she volunteered and from March 1939 worked as Cypher Officer to Governor Sir Shenton Thomas and Duff Cooper. Reilly escaped to Australia before the fall of Singapore and worked for American Intelligence there until she was repatriated to England in 1945.
