Scope and Contents
The file contains a copy of the Colony of Singapore, Department of Education, 'Ten Year Programme'. It also includes the transcripts of two Radio Malaya broadcasts and a newsreel discussing education, and a series of news cuttings relating to Frisby (80 sheets).

Biographical / Historical
A.W. Frisby retired as Director of Education of Singapore in 1952. He was the moving spirit responsible for the Ten-Year Education Programme, first adopted in 1949, and supplementary plans, which sought to provide universal, free primary education for Singapore's children.
