Two diaries describing Williams' visit totalling 212 pages. The volumes are probably a fair copy of the diary made after Williams' return. They include routine material on places visited, information about business methods and descriptions of local Y.M.C.A.s.

Biographical / Historical
Williams visited Canada on a business trip in 1921. He was accompanied by Mr Cliffe, an experienced traveller who had made 78 Atlantic trips in 20 years negotiating sales of the Williams' firm's goods with wholesalers and stores in Canada.
