Scope and Contents
A series of notebooks which reflect Bell's wide-ranging interests in the religion, folklore, history, natural history, literature and art of the Caribbean, Africa and other places where he served, lived or travelled. They also contain information related to his literary career and personal finance. Bell compiled an 'Index of references to Obeah' for Notebooks I-IV, and a copy of this is included.
