Scope and Contents

A 16mm colour cinefilm, without sound. Scenes showing the St Lawrence 'freeze up' of 1951-1952, including road clearance scenes, winter sports and a view of ice flows breaking up by the progress of a ship. A note on the film can reads: 'St Lawrence freeze-up. Montreal - snow ploughs. The mountain - winter sports. Laurentians - spring. Windsor, Vermont - summer'.
