Biographical / Historical

This visit to Jordan in 1961 includes areas which have been occupied by Israel since 1967. Marnham apparently flew to Amman, the capital, visited Jerash to the north, then flew from Amman to Mafraq where he met the King. He returned to the capital then went to Jerusalem, crossing the Jordan at Allenby Bridge and approaching the city from Bethlehem in the south. He returned to Amman via Jericho.
