A preexisting series of files from Hawking's DAMTP offices, maintained in alphabetical order by subject. MS Add.10440/26 and /27 were untitled files at the end of the sequence assigned a title by the archivist. Four additional contemporaneous files received labelled by subject were added to the end of the series.
