Scope and Contents

Half-plate (landscape format). View from top of five-storeyed Pagoda : - goes to the left of previous view with which it joins to make 4480/4479 panorama. The Pearl River [a thin strip visible in far distance], The Normal College for training Chinese teachers: a recently new (6 months) building on site of the old examination cells [left back, white with black roof], Chines Govt. cement works (on island of Honam) [centre back in mists]; the mint lies to the left but is, I think, outside the limits of this view (Fisher).
