Physica incipientium, Late seventeenth century
Scope and Contents
A copy of the same work as MS Dd.06.46, which is there titled 'Contracta Renati Des Cartesii Feltoneana'. Begins 'Physica incipientium sive principia Cartesiana Tyronum captui accommodata'. The work is in three books and appears to be a work not of Descartes but of Jonathan Comer. There are passages in this manuscript which do not occur in MS Dd.06.46, and vice versa. At the end are two further treatises, 'De meteoris' and 'de ventis', not found in MS Dd.06.46. See also MS Add.2640 and MS Add.3307, other copies of this work.
