Scope and Contents
'A catalogue of those manuscripts and other bookes apertaining to heraldry that are of wright mine and in my possession ano. 1646. Sylvanus Morgan'. There follows ‘The mathamaticall mariner’, ‘His caracter’, ‘his astronomi’, ‘his arithmatic’ and ‘Ex punto omnia: having proposed to myself to fix the dignity of coat armour whereby it might be brought into rule as to distinguish the goodness of our coats from an other ...’. At the end of the book are notes on the coats and pedigrees of various families, and other notes on various subjects.
