Some articles and press cuttings had been marked of interest to biographers and these have been kept together in sub-series O/1. In later years most birthday cards and other greetings cards had been kept. After consultation with Cambridge University Library, only cards from famous people, from abroad or from groups of colleagues were kept; these are arranged chronologically. The diaries are in boxes, personal diaries in O/23/1 and official diaries in O/23/2-3. The wartime diaries will be found in D/1.
