Scope and Contents
'A booke contayning the manner and orrder of a wattche to be used in the cittie of London upon th'even at nighte of Sainct John Bapptiste and Saincte Peter, as in tyme past hathe binne acustumedd; by John Mountgomerye.' It is preceded by 'The Coppie of a letter sent from the Qwene's Majestie and the Counsaille to the Lorde Maior of the Cittie of London withe Comaundement for a wattche.' 'Yeven at Grenwich, the xxth daie of Aprille, in the xxviith yere of our reigne.'
