Britain’s Foreign Secretary opens Bahamas Independence Conference in London, 1972-12
Scope and Contents
152 x 206 mm. The Bahamas Government Delegation was led by the Premier, The Hon. Lynden Pindling, while the Delegation representing the Bahamas Opposition was led by Mr Kendal G.L. Isaacs, Leader of the Opposition. The British Delegation was headed by Lord Balniel, Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Sir John Paul, Governor of the Bahamas, also attended the Conference. Seen here is a general view of the conference chamber shortly before the official opening ceremony by Sir Alec Douglas-Home.
