Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

Collection of 150 film negatives with 14 prints. Numbers 1-51, all from Kashmir, have clear inscriptions. 52-86 were sent by David George Stevens, CMS Regional Secretary in Bombay, to Miss Pamela Meister, CMS Photo Librarian, during the early 1960s. Canon Stevens (1912-1976) was a CMS Missionary at Nashik and Aurangabad between 1938-1960 and CMS Representative for the Church of India, based at Bombay, 1960-1963. 83-86 are listed, the remainder have descriptive captions. 87-135 are covered by typed slips. The Malayan items have titles on both the negative envelopes and on the back of the prints. All descriptions have been recorded as found.
