Tyndale-Biscoe Memorial School: entrance hall showing bust of Canon Cecil Earle Tyndale-Biscoe, 1960 - 1962
Scope and Contents
Cecil Earle Tyndale-Biscoe was appointed head of a CMS school in Srinagar in 1890 and remained there until resigning in 1947. He was a fervent and individualistic advocate of character training, and a keen sportsman and champion rower. Eric Tyndale-Biscoe, who appears in many photos of the school, was presumably one of his three sons.
