203 x 155 mm. Showing the Duke of Gloucester, as representative of the Queen, making a speech at the Independence ceremony. Behind him on the platform are seated: Tuanku Syed PUTRA (1920-) Raja of Perlis and Yang di-Pertuan Agong 1960-1965; Sir Donald MacGILLIVRAY, last High Commissioner for the Federation of Malaya; Tuanku Abdul RAHMAN (1895-1960), Yang di-Pertuan Besar of the Negri [i.e. Negeri] and first Yang di-Petuan Agong of Independent Malaya; Tuanku Abdul Rahman PUTRA (1903-), first Prime Minister of Malaya; Sir Abu BAKAR (1904-1975), Sultan of Pahang 1932-1975; and Tuanku BODLISHAH [i.e. Badlishah] (1894-1958), Sultan of Kedah 1943-1958.
