Scope and Contents
100 x 140 mm. Showing Sultan ABDUL HAMID and suite arriving for the Agri-Horticultural show. Other figures in the group are: Tuanku KASSIM; Tuanku BAHROM; Tuanku MAHMUD (Regent); Tuanku YA'ACOB. The Kedah Annual Report (1936) states: "A very successful exhibition was held over a period of three days ---- in Alor Star, which provided for exhibits of agricultural products, rubber, livestock, village and school handicrafts, and commercial and departmental exhibits. In addition to these a special exhibit of a model Weekly Fair was organised. All sections were well supported and the standard of the majority of the exhibits was good, winning exhibits from various sections being forwarded to the Malayan Agri-Horticultural Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur".
