Scope and Contents

197 x 149 mm. Similar to the preceding print, but taken from a slightly different angle and at a different stage in the proceedings. In this photograph a minor district Chief can be seen making obeisance to the Yang di-Pertuan Besar. Other identified figures in the print are: Tuanku Besar BURHANNUDIN; uncle of Tuanku Abdul Rahman and head of the royal household; (Sir) George Ernest LONDON (1889-1957); Malayan Civil Service 1911-1935; Under Secretary to Government, F.M.S. (Federated Malay States) 1932; acting British Resident, Negri Sembilan 1933-1934; Colonial Secretary, Gold Coast 1935-1944; (Sir) Andrew CALDECOTT (1884-1951); Officer Administering Government of Straits Settlements and High Commissioner for F.M.S. 1934.
